“Dehydrate him? Easier said than done. The guy is a demon.” Sharvari rolled her eyes.
“Suryaastra,” Dilan said at the end of their conversation.
“A mythological weapon? And where would I conjure one?”
“Sarcasm,” Dilan chastised her. “I wield claws and fangs, and you can’t believe in Suryaastra?”
“Okay, say I believe you, I don’t suppose we can summon lord Surya to grant it to us in a day’s meditation?”
“Sharvari, you forget Durga was born from the powers of all gods. She has gods behind and within her. She could summon anything.”
“Okay assume I agree with the logic, what’s the guarantee it will work.”
Dilan sighed. “The Suryastra can be summoned by the incantation - "Om Hrāṁ Śrīṁ Ām Grahādhirājāya Ādityāya Svāhā". It requires focus, belief, meditation and the strength to bear the weapon. Only you, who holds the strength of 50,000 Gods could wield it.”
Sharvari sat silent.
“Sharvari?”
“I am here. Let me think about this.”
“Trust your powers Sharvari, tomorrow is day 5 of Navratri and you have two days to stand in your shoes. Else we might as well bid the world a goodbye.”
His words hit hard. In no direct words he had called her a coward. She called Kasar.
“You asleep?”
“No.”
“Do you think I am a coward?”
“What? Who filled your head with such nonsense?”
“Dilan.”
“Ahh. He has good intentions, but his tongue is sharp.”
“Hmm.”
“Sharvari lets meet tomorrow. I will call Dilan here too. Whether you are Durga or not, I am not going down without a fight. Now tell me what he told you.”
She filled him up on Dilan’s idea and how she wasn’t sure about it.
“Whatever happens I am here,” he tried to console her.
“Yes. Good night, Kasar.”
She cut the call. Her eyes drooped as exhaustion made her body limp. She fell on the bed in a dreamless sleep.
